Marielle and Friends

I'm happy that Marielle has found some friends in the neighborhood. My daughter is like me, timid -- the kind who waits to be approached and befriended. But thankfully unlike me, her being bashful is not because of insecurity. She's very confident and in fact surprisingly involved in a lot of things, both academic and extracurricular.

With her in the photo (from the right) are Emma, Jaya and Emma's little sister. This afternoon the girls came to ask if Marielle could come over Emma's house which is actually just next to ours, to play. She stayed there and even had dinner with them.
